Land’s Sake Hosts its Strawberry Day in Weston, MA
Beginning at 10 am. this Saturday, June 16, 2012, Land’s Sake, a public farm located at 90 Wellesley Street in Weston, MA, will hold its Strawberry Day and invites people to “bring your own picnic and enjoy a relaxing day at the farm with family and friends. We’re having a smaller, old-fashioned event this year to thank YOU, our members and supporters, for a successful Growing the Roots campaign! Learn about our education programs and visit the lambs, chickens and bunnies. We’ll have free kids activities and live music.” It seems that Land’s Sake has scaled back its usual “Strawberry Festival” to “Strawberry Day” because as Land’s Sake attests, “Strawberries are in limited supply due to the interesting spring weather.”
Land’s Sake is a public farm which offers educational programs, maintains the town forest for recreational and production uses, and cares for both public conservation and private land.
